“I look forward to my workout! I can’t wait to train!”

That’s the way I live my fitness life.

I remember when I realized I train mainly for an outcome, I THOUGHT I truly loved the way of life with all my heart.

But every time I got into the best lean and strong shape I lost motivation!

Maintaining my well built physique wasn’t as rewarding as I had always envisioned.

Nowadays I know the difference between working for a look more than for the feeling.

I never do “just gotta do it” anymore.

I motivate myself to want to do it.

I want to be doing it, and no stupid complaining about the training I CHOOSE to do!

It’s a mindset thing.

It has to feel good, it has to do me good or I simply know it’s waste of life time spent on something I could change to excite me and draw me into the doing over and over.

I’m disciplined, I do what I do out of freedom, but I’ve learned that I have to be open to letting myself evolve to accept what I thought I wanted isn’t what I want anymore.

My fitness goals today?

I always want to build lean muscle, keep my cardio capacity, keep practicing my mobility and strength training technique like an athlete, but in all that daily life I must enjoy every part of it.

And that’s the only true goal I have, to seize the training day of life every day!

Superstars, stop saying you’re feeling fluffy, bloated, swollen.

That story never ends with a happy self does it?

Change your chronic criticism of your body, it’s time to shift focus and live fitness life without the constant complaining about a perfectly normal healthy body.

Are you a body or do you have a body?

I remember that thought challenge in high school when I was studying the history of Western Philosophy.

Without a physical body I’d not have any vehicle or a vessel for whatever I call that form of being, pure energy, consciousness, spirit or soul.

P.C Jersild’s book about the brain living in a water tank and its reflections on life comes to mind.

Unless I missed the news, they still haven’t found a physical location of the mind that masters the body.

So…I like to entertain the idea that I am forever, not at all as ‘Pauline with her memories, attachments, history, organs, dreams etc’ but more like how everything that lives in Nature must die to be born again, the way the leaves under the tree turn into new soil, the composting style, that will be my way too.

In my fitness life I had goals to achieve, I wanted to create a well-built physique, and then maintain that for ever.

Arnold on a cover of Muscle & Fitness that caught my attention Feb 20, 1999 was the inspiration, before him I had no idea I could train to build my dream body by hard work, discipline & dedication.

That drew me into my life commitment to the way of life we live building the strong body.

Today, my perspective is ‘a well built MIND’ is a status symbol, rather than in my quote ‘a well built PHYSIQUE’.

Because when you truly master your mind you’ll master your body.

And to transform your physical body you must be willing to transform your mind.

Imagine what you can create out of your laser focus if you give yourself the time to build BODY AND the MIND.

Dreams and goals evolve, fitness goals too, so ask your heart, WHAT DO I WANT, then GO FOR IT.
